About the Role

The Company is in search of a Chief Academic Officer (CAO) to join its dedicated team. The CAO will be a key leader in the organization, working closely with the Executive Director and senior leadership to ensure academic excellence and equity across all schools. This role involves managing instructional programs, setting academic strategies, and overseeing the performance of principals and school leaders. The successful candidate will be responsible for fostering a culture of equity, leading professional development, and driving results for students. Additionally, the CAO will be involved in curriculum development, instructional design, data-informed decision-making, and operational and financial oversight of academics. Applicants for the CAO position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree, with a Master’s degree preferred, and at least 10 years' of professional experience in education, including a minimum of five years as a successful principal or educational leader. The role requires a proven track record in leading schools or networks toward measurable outcomes, a strong focus on equity and student success, and experience in diverse communities. The ideal candidate will have high-level leadership, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, as well as a deep understanding of the needs of middle and high school students. Responsibilities also include promoting educational equity, establishing high expectations for student learning, and driving the use of data to monitor and improve student outcomes.
