As Manager of Enterprise Platform Engineering, you will lead the strategy, engineering, and 24x7 operations of enterprise compute, storage, and hybrid cloud platforms across a complex, multi-site academic medical environment. This role owns the reliability, security, automation, and lifecycle of on-prem infrastructure, virtualization, SAN storage, and cloud services--ensuring the platforms clinicians, researchers, and educators rely on are resilient, scalable, and future-ready. The Manager of Enterprise Platform Engineering leads the engineering and operations of enterprise compute, storage, and cloud platforms across Nebraska Medicine and UNMC. Owns the strategy, reliability, and lifecycle of on-premises infrastructure, virtualization, SAN storage, hybrid cloud environments, and automation frameworks. Ensures secure, resilient, and scalable platforms that enable patient care, education, and research.

Required Qualifications: Manager Enterprise Platform Engineering

* Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in enterprise compute, storage, and cloud platforms engineering experience, including large, complex, multi-site environments required.

* Minimum of 3 years leading technical teams with 24x7 operational accountability required.

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field; or equivalent experience required.

* Hands-on expertise with enterprise compute, storage, and cloud platforms required.

* Demonstrated mastery of ITIL processes (incident, change, problem) and service reporting required.

* Strong vendor management and budgeting experience required.

Preferred Qualifications: Manager Enterprise Platform Engineering

* Healthcare delivery organization, & higher education/research experience and familiarity with clinical communications preferred.

* Certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert, ITIL, PMP preferred.

* Experience with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker), Infrastructure-as-Code and automation (Terraform, Ansible), and hybrid cloud architecture and migration strategies (Azure, AWS) in enterprise environments preferred.
