E&A's Internship Program Details

E&A’s Internship Program is designed to provide students with real-life working experience and to expose our professionals to the talent of the future. The program also provides our professionals with a chance to coach those who will help shape tomorrow’s industry workforce.

E&A interns are provided with structured activities in addition to gaining exposure to the day-to-day workings of the departments that they support and the roles that these groups play in our industry.

The Intern will:

• Gain exposure to the day-to-day workings of the Civil Engineering and Planning Departments

• Receive hands-on experience through civil engineering project work, job shadowing, and interaction with leadership

• Assist the planning team with plan preparation and specifications

• Learn and perform CADD functions and facilitate CADD or design functions for all the above in CADD environment utilizing the latest CADD environment

Eligibility Requirements:

• Currently pursuing a high school degree
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Reliable transportation to and from work

Preferred Skills: 

• Demonstrated experience with AutoCAD
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills
• Self-starter with the ability to communicate effectively with team members
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively work independently or with a team

Work Schedule: 

Summer Hours: The schedule will fall between the hours of 8 am to 5 pm, Monday through Friday. Up to 40 hours. Will be dependent upon workload and candidates’ schedule.

School year: Standard schedule of 10 - 20 hours between the hours of 8 am to 5pm, Monday through Friday. Will be dependent upon the candidates’ school schedule.
